  • Perform design computations
  • Coordination with clients, contractors, outside consultants, government agencies and firm staff
  • Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines
  • Some business development activities such as proposal writing and project interviews
  • Work closely with a design team to develop construction plans and specifications for various design projects
  • Develop construction cost estimates
  • Developing scopes of work, developing conceptual designs and preliminary engineering studies, conceiving and implementing field investigation programs, sub-contractor management, as well as coordination of design disciplines in final design projects

  • Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with hydraulic designs, sewer rehabilitation, water and sewer design, water and water/wastewater treatment process design, engineering economics, preparation of specifications and engineering report writing
  • Candidates should have a firm grasp of general heavy construction principles; environmental facilities operations-related experience is considered a plus
  • Applicant should demonstrate strong team-building skills
  • Candidate should be able to present technical writing product to internal team
  • A passing grade on the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering exam is preferred
  • A working knowledge of Federal, State and local jurisdiction permitting regulations
  • 5-10 Years’ Experience
  • Strong computer skills are required: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS, and MS Project are a plus
  • Candidates must have the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-production office environment, build successful team relationships and maintain positive coworker interactions
  • Flexibility to support time-critical report development and production to meet demanding schedules
  • Possess a Professional Engineering License in the state of Delaware or have the ability to acquire a license through reciprocity within six months of employment
  • Candidates must demonstrate organized practices, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have flexibility to support time-critical report development and production in order to meet demanding schedules
  • Experience working with local clients
  • A bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
