Tasks
-Travel to field locations inside and outside the state of Montana. Travel schedule is inconsistent and on occasion travel may occur with little to no notice. -Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment. -Establish and supervise field lubrication services. -Diagnoses, rebuilds, and repairs all vehicles and heavy equipment which is used in utility line construction. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, digger derricks, aerial man lifts, horizontal directional drills (boring equipment), forklifts, tractors, backhoes, excavators, and truck mounted cranes. -Receive calls and requests for repairs from field crews. Analyze and prioritize needs and respond accordingly. Maximize use of vendor delivery services. -Ensure the security of the buildings, tools and equipment, and other assets, at all times. -Responsible for the shops, plant, and parking areas. Including general housekeeping and appearance, disposal of trash, parts and materials that have no value. Re-cycle scrap and sell off used parts and materials that have cash value. -Process and route all paperwork including time sheets, packing slips, invoices, memorandums, DOT information, expense sheets, and faxes, etc. accurately and timely. -Orders/Requisitions new parts as needed for equipment repairs. Follows company procedures with regards to purchase order process and approval.

What You Bring
-Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, as well as experience with electrical systems, including computerized induction/ignition systems. -Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely manner. -Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Familiar with Company policies, guidelines, and OSHA in order to rectify any safety hazards or violations. -Skills include use of power and hand tools, use of diagnostic equipment and experience with operation of vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes. -An advanced knowledge of OSHA requirements applicable to equipment operations, repair, and maintenance is needed. -Considerable knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance. -Background check, credit check, MVR and drug screen will be required prior to start of employment. -Prior Experience and/or training repairing equipment used in utility line construction, including digger derricks, aerial man lifts, horizontal directional drills, forklifts, tractors, backhoes, excavators and truck mounted cranes. -High school diploma, or its equivalent, and 5 years of experience and/or training in vehicle/construction equipment repair or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. -Ability to work in remote settings with little to no supervision for extended periods of time. -An understanding of the rules and requirements of DOT inspections will be needed for success in this role. -Knowledgeable in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, email, and the use of the internet. -Familiarity with mechanical design, welding, and fabrication. -Valid (Class A) Interstate Commercial Driver’s License is required. (Or the ability to obtain with in 6 months) -Candidate should have knowledge & experience with the safe use of tools typically found in a shop setting.

-Performance Based Bonus Annually -Work is based out of local shop; however, travel is expected and likely. -Employer matches employee contribution at 50% up to a 6% employee contribution -Medical (with employer fully paid option) -Retirement Plan Contributions -Life, AD&D, STD & LTD Insurance -5% Annual Employer Contribution -Vacation/Holiday/Sick Paid Time Off -Profit Sharing Cash Incentive -Competitive pay rate is dependent on experience, with an hourly range of $25.00 - $35.00. Overtime hours are typical for this role and are paid at one and a half times the regular hourly rate.
