Maintain a professional and trustworthy relationship with clients, professionals, subcontractors and suppliers.
Develop comprehensive estimates for large and complex works.
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Prepare and present your estimate to management and external clients.
Collaborate with estimate team on continuous improvement initiatives.
Review all tender and contract documents and advice from the home office legal department.
Determine installation quantities based on drawings and specifications.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
Prepare cost estimates on work for major projects locally and across Canada.
Coordinate with other disciplines such as planning, scheduling, procurement, and proposal team.

Excellent knowledge of the Canadian construction market.
Advanced computer skills, knowledge of MS Office, and Bluebeam software is an asset.

Must be willing to travel as required to visit project sites or meet with clients for estimate specific needs.
Effective presentation and negotiation skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in nuclear estimation with relevant industry experience.
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Excellent communication English skills.
Experience in nuclear industry is a great asset.
Prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines while constantly changing tasks and demands.
5+ years of relevant experience in estimating for major projects.
