Tasks
-Mentor junior staff and contribute to proposal writing and business development. -Lead state and federal environmental permitting for a variety of land development, energy, transportation, and municipal projects. -Oversee and review wetland delineations, vernal pool surveys, wildlife and habitat assessments, and natural resource mapping. -Interpret and apply environmental regulations, providing clear guidance to clients. -Prepare and review technical reports, permit applications, and supporting analyses. -Coordinate with regulatory agencies, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve project approvals. -Prepare and manage Maine Department of Environmental Protection (MDEP), Maine Land Use Planning Commission (LUPC), Natural Resources Protection Act (NRPA), New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, (NHDES) and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) permit applications, including environmental assessments and supporting documentation. -Provide senior level project and technical staff support.

What You Bring
-Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resources, Biology, or related field. -Excellent technical writing and communication skills. -Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. -10+ years of professional experience in natural resources consulting, with emphasis on environmental permitting. -Proficiency with Microsoft Office, GPS, and GIS or AutoCAD preferred. -Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. -Strong understanding of wetlands, wildlife habitat, soils, and regulatory frameworks. -Demonstrated experience with MDEP, LUPC, and ACOE permitting processes.
