Overview

Lead regional HSE strategy, risk mitigation, compliance and safety performance for Vestas wind operations

Tasks

-Oversee regular HSE audits and inspections across regional sites, tracking performance and implementing improvements -Oversee the investigation of significant HSE incidents, ensuring thorough root cause analysis -Conduct safety walkthroughs, audits, and site inspections in partnership with operational teams -Establish clear communication channels with key stakeholders, including the Regional President, Vice Presidents, and local HSE teams, Facilitate regular safety meetings and briefings -Facilitate risk assessment processes across the region, including hazard identification, safety observations, and job safety analysis. -Collaborate with other Regional and Manufacturing Heads of HSE to share best practices, and ensure alignment on global HSE initiatives -Serve as a liaison for the Global Manufacturing HSE team, offering local support and acting as a point of contact for manufacturing-related HSE as may be required -Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and international HSE regulations, as well as company HSE standards -Implement a data-driven approach to monitor safety performance, identify emerging risks, and prioritize initiatives -Support the execution of global HSE strategies into actionable regional plans -Establish proactive measures to identify and mitigate HSE risks before they manifest. -Implement continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing regional safety performance data, identifying trends, and devising action plans -Provide HSE oversight and support across diverse activities, including, not limited to repair centers, supply chain logistics, service projects, construction sites, and office environments -Partner closely with regional operations leaders to integrate HSE practices into day-to-day business activities

What You Bring

-7+ years of experience in wind -Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret safety data, assess risk, and develop data-driven solutions. -Project management skills, with experience leading HSE projects from conception through implementation. -Leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to initiate change and ensure effectiveness at all levels of the organization -Advanced skills in communication, facilitation, and negotiation, with a history of working with a variety of stakeholders. -Proven track record of implementing HSE programs and obtaining measurable improvements. -Experience with contract management and performance reviews -10+ years in an HSE role with at least 5 years of experience in an HSE leadership or managerial capacity -Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Engineering
