The Role

Overview

Operate production line, run machinery, ensure quality, handle materials, and report.

Tasks

-Adhere to safety policies, programs, and procedures -Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift -Ensure that products being produced meet established quality specifications -Complete health & safety pre-start checklists -Document quality checks at regular intervals -Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with established operating procedures -Document production numbers, items contributing to downtime (using computerized systems and hand-written production reports)

What You Bring

-Must be able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shift -Good communication skills -Ability to follow direction and specific instructions -Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis -Fluent in verbal and written English -RRSP Match -Minimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience preferred -Manual dexterity and attention to detail -Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time -Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces -Comfortable with working in a dusty environment -Minimum 2 years’ experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction industry preferred
