Tasks

-Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to develop accurate pricing strategies. -Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing. -Support the bid and pre-construction team with technical and commercial input. -Provide cost advice and risk assessment to senior management. -Produce and manage Bills of Quantities (BoQs). -Prepare detailed cost estimates for groundworks and RC frame packages from first principles. -Maintain accurate records of tender submissions and outcomes.

What You Bring

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Estimator with a background in groundworks and RC frame projects. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates from first principles, producing your own Bills of Quantities (BoQs), and supporting the pre-construction team in securing and pricing complex civil and structural packages. This role is office-based and available on a permanent basis with a generous salary and benefits package, or alternatively on a freelance day rate (outside IR35) for Limited Company candidates. -Proven experience in estimating for groundworks and reinforced concrete frame projects. -Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail. -Excellent knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and industry standards. -Strong ability to price from first principles and prepare BoQs independently. -Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel. -Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to deadlines.
