Overview
Lead and manage Survey/Geomatics team, projects, and business growth in VA/DC

Tasks
-Develops and supports service line strategies and initiatives that support VHB’s strategic plan and regional business planning/strategic pursuits. -Works with leadership groups to develop and implement consistent work processes and standards. -Participates in professional and personal development aligned with career goals. -Reviews client and quality audit feedback and develops plans to implement best practices across the region. -Develops, monitors, and maintains project budgets, scopes, and schedules. -Identifies and deploys leading-edge work processes, technologies, and applications to execute projects more effectively and better serve clients. -Collaborates with regional leadership to identify and provide new services or skills. -Develops growth plans. Identifies market opportunities and strategies, such as key hires and the development of business opportunities, while meeting the expectations of internal stakeholders. -Works with discipline groups to develop and implement quality plans. -Aligns service offerings to VHB’s market requirements. -Develops client solutions benefitting from advancements and applications of data and technologies. -Creates project plans, identifies, and organizes resources, and successfully executes projects to completion. -Promotes awareness of available technologies within the Geomatics team. -Manages a team of Geomatics professionals. Carries out supervisory responsibilities, including hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; coaching and motivating; and addressing problems. -Promotes work sharing across offices and advises on the deployment of staff on major projects and pursuits.

What You Bring
-Proficient in a broad array of technical skills with professional mastery -Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented -Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner -Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills -BS in Survey Engineering, Geomatics, Geographic Information Systems, Engineering, Reality Capture, or related field -Excellent management skills with an emphasis on performance recognition and development -15+ years of experience managing Survey/Geomatics projects, including 10+ years of client/staff/project management -Team oriented with ability to perform multiple tasks independently in a timely manner and collaborate effectively and positively with others -Ability to strategically identify and implement innovative ideas that add value -Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite -VA Land Surveyor license required
