Tasks

-Estimates material and worker requirements to complete jobs -Confers with managerial and technical personnel, other departments and contractors to resolve problems and to coordinate activities -Assigns work to crews, based on material and/or worker requirements of specific jobs -Oversees, coordinates and schedules the activities of construction technicians -Locates, measures and marks site locations and placement of structures and equipment, using measuring and marking equipment -Reads blueprints to determine construction requirements and to plan procedures -Analyzes worker and production problems and recommends solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans -Coordinates work activities with other construction project activities -Inspects work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met -Orders materials and supplies, as directed -Trains workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures and company policies

What You Bring

-Ability to work with a noise level from moderate to loud -Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen) -Working knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, OSHA and operating safety standards -Ability to safely operate various types of utility vehicles and equipment -Ability to carry, climb, operate, and work upon an extension ladder (approximately 28 feet high and 75 pounds), ability to climb poles or other structures as needed -Ability to complete work outdoors, in tight spaces or elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time, year round in all weather conditions -High level of energy, motivation and attention to detail -Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains, managing equipment, safety equipment and tools -Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving; CDL preferred -Ability to multi-task, shifting from one task to another without interruption -Ability to travel up to 90% regionally -Ability to occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, electricity and/or powerlines, risk of exposure to electrical shock, radiation, vibration -5+ year(s) of underground telecommunications construction experience required -Working knowledge of construction trenching, missiling, placing of duct, CIC, coax, fiber, pedestals & vaults -Ability to work outside of business hours when needed; overtime, holidays, evenings, weekends etc., in all seasons
