- participate in in-service training courses and on-the-job instruction in the fundamentals of utility plant operation and engineering.
- Collect and dispose of all trash and recycling from receptacles throughout the plants and offices
- Participate in in-service training courses and on-the-job instruction in the fundamentals of utility plant operation and engineering.
- Perform specific tasks as directed in performing maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment, steam, gas and water lines, and other related plumbing, heating or ventilation equipment; lubricate machinery in the boiler, chiller, pump and mechanical equipment rooms according to schedule
- Sweep, strip, and wax plant floors using both hand equipment and floor machine
- Clean and gas up vehicles as needed
- Pick up and deliver parts
- Clean parts and equipment that are being overhauled
- Perform specific tasks in operating utility plant equipment including heating, ventilating and air-conditioning equipment to learn operating procedures
- Clean bathrooms and breakrooms including tables, sinks, and toilets; Stock supplies as necessary
- Clean heating and utilities areas and cleans and polishes operating equipment
- Move heavy supplies, furniture, and equipment
- Assist in maintaining pools.
