The Role

Assist PM in planning, budgeting, scheduling, safety & project delivery.

Tasks

-Quality & Compliance: Lead the development of the project quality control program and ensure compliance with specifications and contract documents. -Scheduling & Coordination: Lead pull planning sessions with the Superintendent, assist in schedule development and time impact analyses, and ensure progress aligns with critical milestones. -Financial Management: Support the creation and maintenance of project budgets, financial reports, and revenue projections. Manage change orders, subcontractor payments, and cost tracking to ensure financial accuracy. -Communication & Reporting: Prepare monthly owner narratives, coordinate Owner, Architect, Contractor (OAC) meetings, and ensure timely communication between project stakeholders. -Project Planning & Preconstruction: Assist in identifying project requirements, managing bid package development, and supporting constructability reviews. Coordinate project mobilization and demobilization activities. -Safety Leadership: Incorporate safety requirements into subcontract scopes, lead safety orientations, and promote adherence to Balfour Beatty’s Zero Harm® principles. -Closeout & Turnover: Manage project closeout documentation, including certificates of occupancy, warranties, and final financial reconciliation. Support the Project Engineer team through turnover and client transition. -Contract & Procurement Administration: Manage procurement of materials, supplies, and equipment. Oversee subcontractor scopes, contracts, and performance standards to ensure compliance with project requirements.

What You Bring

-Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration. -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. -4–6 years of progressive experience in commercial construction project management. -Strong client relationship and negotiation skills. -Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. -Experience overseeing Project Engineers and Interns. -Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Primavera P6, Sage 300 CRE, or similar). -Proven ability to lead project meetings and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. -Demonstrated experience managing small to mid-size commercial projects.
