The Role

Overview

Oversee cost estimation, contracts and subcontractor management for civil infrastructure projects.

Tasks

Working within a collaborative project team, you will be responsible for overseeing the full commercial lifecycle of projects, from early cost planning and procurement to final account. -Take ownership of cost estimation, budgeting, contracts, procurement, and cost control, including risk identification and mitigation. -Manage sub-contractor packages from appointment through to final account. -Comply with all company systems and procedures, including Information Management Systems. -Ensure contract compliance in line with NEC3/NEC4 or JCT frameworks. -Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure commercial alignment.

What You Bring

You will bring proven commercial and contractual expertise, with the confidence to manage provide detailed costs submissions for civils projects, track project costs, contractual obligations and stakeholder expectations independently. -Strong working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4. -Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion. -Full valid driving licence. -Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively. -Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain negotiations. -Experience in regulated sectors such as Rail, Highways, Energy or Utilities. -Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
