Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Description

• Engage across the sites, implementing health and safety policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Undertake audits and inspections of the sites, identifying areas for improvement, and reporting on the findings.
• Manage external and internal relationships, representing Osprey and working with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider business on health and safety matters as required.
• Review the production of risk assessments and method statements
• Develop and deliver toolbox talks, training and inductions ensuring that all aspects of health and safety are understood by the business.
• Develop briefing and communication strategies to ensure that the Health and Safety plan and important information is understood and operated by all employees and subcontractors
• Bring innovative and creative thinking to the business whilst still maintaining exceptional H&S standards.
• Manage the HSE function across the business, promoting a HSE focused culture and promote industry leading safety behaviours.

Requirements

We are looking for an HSE Manager to join our team, to continue our ongoing mission of zero accidents on site. Health and safety is a huge priority in our business and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for ensuring everyone gets home safely at the end of the day.

• NEBOSH general certificate (IOSH membership desired)
• Customer focused, with experience of dealing with a variety of different people
• Basic awareness of planning/logistics processes
• Experience in heavy lift operations and working with ISO standards and management systems
• Team leadership experience/line management experience
• Communicate positive H&S performance effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
• 10 years min experience within nuclear, oil & gas or renewables
• Proactive and not afraid to get stuck in where needed
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-managed and motivated to stay up to date on any HSE changes
