Tasks

The Plant Manager is responsible for the efficient, safe, and environmentally correct operation and growth of the Emseal Joint Systems facility(s). The incumbent is expected to develop and implement new programs to achieve higher quality and productivity in the safest workplace and be the company's representative to direct and achieve our vision in the manufacturing plant by cultivating an environment of confidence and trust. -Build and maintain vendor relations. -Oversee the maintenance of the facility by working with the landlord. -Train and develop production personnel to ensure uninterrupted supply of necessary skills to operate equipment to meet customer order demand. -Plan and maintain production schedule. -Manage the procurement of raw materials. -Partner with engineering, maintenance, and quality including participating in capital planning, preventative maintenance, and problem-solving. -Select, train, and develop professional staff to perform at their own personal best.

-Demonstrated ability to push forward the necessary strategies and programs to increase quality, productivity, and customer service. -Strong interpersonal skills reflecting leadership, sensitivity, and the demonstrated desire and ability to foster teamwork focusing on positive cooperative communication. -Proven knowledge of product quality demands of manufacturers; problem-solving, error-proofing, and mentoring skills are required. -Ability to map processes and identify non-value-added activities to streamline production activities. -Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing management experience. -Motivate assigned professional and production personnel to perform at required levels to attain annual goals through solid management and coaching skills. -Excellent communication skills, which are characterized by sincerity, persuasiveness, and clarity of thought. -Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or related field. -Strong leader who manages consistently when applying rules, policies, and procedures; leads from a strong position, yet checks their ego at the door and nurtures a culture of listening and respect for all. -Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement concepts, including statistical process control and lean manufacturing is required. -Previous experience managing production personnel. -Attain annual safety goals through a solid understanding of safety management as well as the ability to convey and enforce safety rules and procedures throughout the manufacturing organization.
