Product Engineer

Tasks

-Contact dealerships for parts and repair diagnostics and participate in customer callbacks to ensure proper understanding of customer feedback. -Review incoming warranty claims data daily and categorize claims accordingly. -Investigate plant floor issues to identify root causes and develop interim containment and permanent corrective actions. -Lead engineering trials and implement running changes for the subsystem. -Lead engineering commodity changes for future minor product launches. -Support the Variability Reduction Team (VRT) for specific subsystems and collaborate with supplier partners to address quality concerns. -Engage with technical experts and functional team members to drive resolution and develop corrective actions to improve product quality. -Support the assembly plant with Stop Ships/Stop Builds campaigns, audits, root cause analyses, and other quality-related issues. -Maintain quality documents at the subsystem or Vehicle Functional Group (VFG) level to achieve quality targets. -Issue engineering alerts and initiate authorization of engineering concerns for product changes to support quality objectives.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analyzing data to identify warranty patterns and trends. -Automotive experience is preferred. -Ability to use CAD software to assist with root cause analysis and part interface evaluations. -Present to various levels of upper management, including weekly VRT reports, Vehicle Quality Reviews, and engineering managers’ reviews. -Design experience and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.
