The Role

Overview

Perform TIG welding and related fabrication tasks for rotor assembly.

Tasks

-Recommend and support continuous improvement initiatives in production processes. -Foster a positive and collaborative team culture. -Control and correct distortion and heat input during welding processes. -Set up components and perform basic digital programming on welding equipment. -Learn and demonstrate welding techniques using SMAW, TIG, PAW, MIG, and Laser; train others as needed. -Accurately locate and measure surfaces per specifications and perform detailed inspections. -Actively contribute to team goals in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity. -Interpret drawings and work instructions to prepare and assemble parts using cutting and abrasive tools. -Apply and understand penetrant inspection methods (e.g., red-dye, fluorescent). -Maintain a clean and organized work environment. -Adhere to all safety policies and report unsafe conditions to Management or HR. -Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment. -Operate furnaces and stress relief equipment. -Maintain confidentiality and protect proprietary information.

What You Bring

-Proficient in basic math, including fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages. -Must be at least 18 years old. -Comply with the company’s drug policy and pass random screenings. -Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. -Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent in Welding from a technical school or two years of relevant experience/training. -Minimum 2 years of TIG/GTAW welding experience. -Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings. -Ability to pass background check and drug screening per company policy. -Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and loud noise; hearing protection may be required. -Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. -High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. -Permanent work authorization without the need for current or future employer sponsorship required. -Must frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs. -Contour welds to meet complex, close-tolerance configurations using appropriate tools. -High attention to detail and commitment to quality. -Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions and solve basic problems. -Proficiency in both SAE and Metric measurement systems. -Ability to interpret bar graphs and technical drawings. -Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and use hands/arms.
