Tasks
Additionally, you will have the desire and drive to grow a high performing team of professionals and leverage existing staff across the company to deliver projects. You will support business development for new opportunities in the region and support proposal development within the practice. You will support technical training and technical growth of the team and be viewed as the local area subject matter expert in your specialty field. As part of a well-established Power Delivery practice, you will have the opportunity to build and lead your own team of overhead line design professionals while managing transmission line projects in the local region and beyond. You will likely have prior experience managing and providing technical leadership on small/medium/large projects and are now ready to take-on a broader role overseeing all aspects of the transmission team. -Development of technical papers and/or presentations that showcase technical capabilities at industry conferences or other events. -See that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system -Leading the QA/QC process on projects per HDR’s Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements with a commitment to delivering world class quality. -Take responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support -Selecting, building, developing and supervising a local transmission team and providing oversight over workload, quality, utilization, team morale, training, and performing annual performance reviews of team members. -Be directly involved with various types of clients in marketing and project production. -Take administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections -Performing client management, project management, staff supervision, and/or technical support activities. -Act as client manager and/or project manager for select clients. -Be involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviews -At times, being responsible for overseeing nonengineering components of projects, including geotechnical, public involvement, environmental permitting, right of way acquisition, construction management, and other services. -Coordinating with HDR’s Talent Acquisition team and leadership to develop a hiring plan to help build and grow a group of transmission professionals. -Manage and develop multidiscipline teams -Function as Project Manager managing and leading transmission projects throughout the entire project life cycle, including scope and/or proposal development, project team development and assignment, project execution, project closeout, quality control, schedule, and budget management. -Implement, monitor and support company policy -Leveraging existing staff across the company to execute work and deliver world class services to clients in the region. -Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts

What You Bring
-Track record of working cooperatively with diverse teams, regional, department, technical managers and project staff -Experience with design tools for line design: i.e. PLSCADD -Minimum of 4 years of transmission design experience. -Ability to handle multiple assignments -Experience with data center and renewables projects. -Experience providing estimated costs, development of a BOM -Previous experience managing staff, clients, contracts and hiring staff for an engineering consulting firm. -Good leadership and organizational skills -Minimum of 6 years of prior project management and staff management experience. -PE license preferred, PMP is recommended. -Excellent client management skills, marketing, and business development skills in addition to contacts/relationships with power delivery clients.
