The Role

Overview

Assist senior engineers designing structural systems for pharma projects, gaining hands‑on experience.

Tasks

-Support the delivery of projects on time, within scope, and to budget. -Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including global pharmaceutical clients. -Engage in STEM outreach and professional development activities. -Develop improved communication and teamwork skills through collaboration on projects. -Contribute to concept, scheme, and detailed design stages of projects. -Participate in design reviews, verification checks, and quality assurance processes. -Manage personal workload effectively to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of delivery. -Liaise and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Architects, Project Managers, and M&E Engineers. -Assist in the design of structural systems in accordance with relevant codes and standards using appropriate software tools. -Conduct site visits, inspections, and surveys as required. -Work under the supervision of Project Engineers and the Design Team Leader to deliver high-quality design solutions. -Attend project and construction meetings both in-office and on-site.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. -Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and inclusivity. -A strong commitment to achieving professional qualifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer status). -A 2:1 or higher Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. -Willingness to broaden knowledge across other engineering disciplines. -Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and development. -Familiarity with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, or similar) is preferred but not essential.
