Tasks

-Works under a Transportation Team Leader in the development of roadway design projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) -Assists in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules -Works with the Transportation Team Leader and Operations Manager in business development activities -Bicycle, Pedestrian and Active Transportation Planning and Design -Works closely with the other design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects that contribute to the growth and safety of Texas roadways -Reviews transportation designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency -TCP/Maintenance of Traffic -Collaborates with clients and other consultants -Assists in managing the workload of design staff including other Engineers, EIT’s, and technical staff

What You Bring

-Ability to lead a project and supervise technical staff -Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Florida -Ability to design, oversee and review roadway projects for FDOT and local municipalities -Extensive knowledge in planning, designing and managing transportation projects to move people and goods safely and reliably. -NEPA Studies, Outreach and Visualization -A minimum of 8 years of experience in civil, public works or transportation project delivery, with at least 4 years’ post PE License preferred -Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) experience -Demonstrated ability to design and review in MicroStation -Strong communication skills, both written and verbal -Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
