The Role

Overview

Perform NETA testing, troubleshooting, and reporting on low/medium‑voltage electrical equipment.

Tasks

-Climb ladders, staircases, step stools, stand, walk, sit, and operate vehicles for extended periods. -Document services by maintaining records and writing technical reports detailing field work performed -Inspect and service transformers, switchgear, and relays -Work outdoors in varying weather conditions including intense heat/cold, muddy and wet environments. -Evaluate the operating condition of equipment -Perform acceptance and maintenance testing on electrical equipment per NETA standards -Perform extensive testing, problem identification, and troubleshooting -Read and interpret electrical control schematics and diagrams -Generate detailed reports Communicate effectively with team members and clients -Operate various testing tools and equipment including megger, digital multimeter, Hipot tester, multiamp relay tester, GFI, TTR, primary and secondary injection set, etc. -Perform precision tasks with instruments and fittings.

What You Bring

-Experience in performing extensive testing, problem identification, and troubleshooting -Familiarity with electrical test equipment and fundamentals -Lift, carry and/or move up to 75 pounds repeatedly. -Fundamental understanding of electrical and mechanical testing procedures -NETA level II, III, or IV Certification preferred -Strong background in troubleshooting and performing start-up service -Computer literacy -Bend, stoop, crawl, and work in awkward positions or confined spaces for several hours. -Strong verbal and written communication skills -Ability to travel: 10-15% -Communicate verbally and in writing.
