Assist PM in MEP project delivery from bids to closeout, overseeing finances, coordination, and team.

Tasks

-Perform on-site Project Manager duties on small scope projects -Lead project buyout with subcontractors and trade partners -Partner with the Project Manager or Construction Executive -Manage subcontractors and suppliers for the project -Draft client proposals -Work with Preconstruction on project estimate and schedule -Act as liaison for project engineers, mentor, and coach others -Coordinate scopes of work -Implement a quality plan that ensures the customer’s specified performance criteria in design and construction -Direct responsibilities and guide Field Engineer(s) and Project Engineer(s) -Provide direction to the project team for safe and timely project completion -Review and compile pay applications, change requests, and other project financial documentation -Lead and direct the 3-D coordination process to resolve all conflicts prior to installation -Oversee budget for and make recommendations for subcontractors and trade partners -Provide job assignments and manage career development -Direct and manage the commissioning process on the project inclusive of the start-up plan, COT, commissioning schedule, and functional testing -Facilitate and lead meetings between subcontractors related to project coordination -Lead all activities required in the project closeout inclusive of operations and maintenance manuals, model turn over and training -Perform cost control and financial management

What You Bring

-Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills -Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies -Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks -Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices -Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. -Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. -Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience -Current driver’s license -Minimum five years of related previous experience, preferably experience with a mechanical or electrical contractor -Proven ability to assist with all responsibilities for complex projects -Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
