Senior Planner

Overview

Senior planner manages project schedules, claims, and reporting for construction projects.

Tasks

-Compilation of various project reports as directed by management from time to time. -Analyze contractor schedules and evaluate claims, EOTs, and recovery programs. -Prepare and present weekly/monthly progress reports and dashboards. -Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to ensure schedule compliance. -Assist in the development and review of project control procedures and systems. -Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and flag delays or risks proactively. Recommend areas of improvement. -Support the site supervision team in resolving planning and scheduling issues. -Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using planning software and tools. -The Sr. Planner will apply project management and planning tools and techniques to ensure that the project finish date and milestones are successfully achieved. -Attend progress meetings and provide expert planning input to project stakeholders. -Ensure planning activities are compliant with contractual requirements and international best practices.

What You Bring

-Works well in a team with a collaborative approach. -Proficiency in Planning software and tools (Primavera, MS Project and advanced Excel). -Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. -Over 10 years experience in planning and scheduling or as required by related construction supervision agreement. -Familiar with claim analysis, EOT assessments, and dispute resolution support. -Solid understanding of FIDIC contracts, project lifecycles, and construction methodologies. -Fluent in English. Arabic is a plus. -Detail minded, thorough and systematic in their approach to work. -Knowledge and practical experience of working with Primavera. -Excellent communication skills and presentation skills. -Experience having worked with reputable engineering firms, preferably consulting firms within the industry. -Software skills with microsoft office.
