Tasks

-Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and emerging technologies -Act as a subject matter expert in a specific engineering discipline -Contribute to the development and improvement of engineering processes and standards -Participate in firm-wide quality control initiatives -Perform QA/QC on project deliverables. -Assist with business development efforts and prepare statements of qualifications and letters of interest -Conduct advanced engineering analysis and design for specialized projects -Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering challenges -Coordinate with other departments and sub-consultants to allocate project scope and develop budget and schedule proposals. -Provide technical guidance to project teams and junior engineers -Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules for contract development -Serve as a technical lead in the planning and execution of complex engineering projects

What You Bring

-Strong written and verbal communication skills -Ability to work as part of a team and mentor junior level staff -15+ years of experience performing as a project engineer or project manager on local agency and/or DOT roadway projects -Licensed Professional Engineer -Possesses advanced, specialized knowledge in roadway/highway design -Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
