Tasks

-Conduct regular visits to our plant locations, job sites and customer offices. -Become an active member in Industry Associations by attending luncheons, association functions, volunteering for positions on their boards and generally developing relationships with the members and the leadership of those organizations. -Actively pursue new customer, dormant customer, and project opportunities. Track, follow through and communicate these opportunities with the Sales Manager and Operating Company Leadership. -Provide a high level of "customer service" to all customers. -Accurate communication of product pricing based on given cost factors and guidance. Work closely with estimating and operations personnel to maximize opportunities. -Follow up on all sales, quotes, and collection procedures on customer accounts. -Safety and Security: Observes safety and security procedures. -Developing and strengthening relationships with all existing, past, and potential customers and hauling sub-contractors. -Accurate and timely preparation and entry of various data including formal quotes, sales calls, and market intel into Salesforce per CRH standards. -Comprehensive sales, marketing, and promotion of all products and services to a customer list of commercial, municipal, and residential accounts. -Establish and regularly review robust Key Account Plans targeting the appropriate set of customers and fully execute the objectives laid out in those plans. -Actively track and record market intelligence, market conditions, and sales and service activities within the market. -Strategic Thinking: Takes a broad scale, long term view, assessing options and implications required to develop and achieve goals of the organization to move it forward.

What You Bring

-Relevant construction materials and/or sales experience preferred. -Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook. -Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. -Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required. -Ability to cope well in stressful environments and communicate professionally. -Ability to frequently walk, stand and sit as well as occasionally required to reach. -Demonstrate a hands-on, collaborative approach; work well in a team. -Strong skill in planning and organization, as well as skills in project management. -Willingness and ability to work in and adapt to changes in circumstances, tasks, customer needs and other conditions that may affect their daily responsibilities. -Ability to occasionally climb stairs, ladders, inclined walkways, and access elevated platforms. -Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and/or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. -Communication: Clearly conveys and receives messages at an appropriate level and format. -Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required. -Demonstrate comfort in communicating and partnering with senior level executives on sensitive employee issues. -Teamwork: Works cooperatively and productively in groups and teams to create positive relationships which maximize performance results. -Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required. -Able to communicate with others by email, telephone and in person. -Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License. -Report to designated place of business dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time. Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary. -Active communication with other divisions and lines of business within the company to include but not limited to: Safety, Quality Control, Construction, Billing and Accounts Receivable. -Demonstrate basic mathematical skills as well as the ability to interpret and compute basic formulas. -Ability to read, interpret, and develop documents and reports essential to the sales department. -Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. -Adaptability: Personal willingness and ability to effectively work in, and adapt to changes in circumstances, tasks, responsibilities, people, environments, and conditions. -Must be 18 years in age or older. -Able to utilize a computer for word processing, email communication, and preparation of documents and presentations.
