Overview

Analyze and resolve failure modes in electrochemical systems to improve reliability and lifespan.

Tasks

-Collaborate with materials scientists to address material-related failures and recommend solutions. -Troubleshoot issues related to coating processes and materials. -Work with cross-functional teams to implement failure prevention strategies. -Design and perform experiments simulating extreme conditions (temperature, pressure, current, voltage). -Analyze data to detect failure patterns and trends. -Prepare technical reports and presentations on findings and improvements. -Maintain thorough records of experiments and methodologies. -Conduct failure mode analysis to identify and document failure mechanisms in electrochemical systems such as alkaline water electrolysers (AWE).

What You Bring

-Analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on lab experience. -Proficiency in electrochemical testing and failure analysis tools. -Deep understanding of electrochemical processes and materials science. -Familiarity with tools like potentiostats, EIS, Elemental composition analysis (ICP-MS) and SEM imaging. -Experience: Background in R&D, failure analysis, or reliability engineering for electrochemical systems (e.g., batteries, fuel cells, electrolysers). -Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrochemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
