The Role

Overview

Design, program, and commission HVAC control systems for commercial/industrial projects.

Tasks

-Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing control systems. -Develop control sequences, schematics, and wiring diagrams. -Ordering "smart materials" and procuring material quotes from vendors. -Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams. -Building submittals per plan & spec. -Perform system startup, testing, and commissioning. -Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration. -Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations. -Design and implement HVAC control systems using DDC (Direct Digital Controls) platforms. -Program and configure control systems (e.g., BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus).

What You Bring

-Certifications such as LEED, PMP, or NICET are a plus. -3+ years of experience in HVAC controls or building automation systems. -Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. -Proficiency with control platforms such as Trane, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, or similar. -Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. -Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical schematics, and control logic. -Familiarity with energy management and sustainability practices. -Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. -Experience with AutoCAD or Revit. -Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for building systems.
