Tasks

-Negotiating and managing value-add supply contracts within commodity portfolio. -Development and execution of initiatives relating to business continuous improvement projects -Identifying and mitigating supply chain risk. -Achieves high quality and productivity standards by adhering to standard work. -Act as focal point and subject matter expert in global market for assigned commodity. -Develop and maintain supply strategy for assigned commodities aligned to business and supply chain requirements based on analysis of available data. -Organize team workload and priorities as applicable. -International travel to supplier and Dover corporate locations. -Leading and influencing decision making in stakeholder departments – effective communication.

What You Bring

-Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise in a complex environment. -Demonstrates full accountability and ownership for all aspects of assigned areas of responsibility. -Persistence in problem solving approach with ability to deliver solutions that address the issue effectively. -Comfortable in presenting information in a variety of formats to senior management, -Level 5 or 6 CIPS qualification an advantage. -Degree qualified or able to demonstrate suitable relevant experience. -Familiarity with Oracle ERP systems an advantage. -Demonstrating competence, proactivity and leadership in implementing procurement best practice (e.g. 5S, PFEP, POH, KPI, SRM etc.) in the context of Dover processes and the Oracle ERP system. -Able to generate significant cost reduction though coordination with internal stakeholders (engineering, planning, materials). -Proficient in use of MS packages. -Able to coach and mentor team members. -Minimum of two years working in a similar role, showing consistent career progression to current level, preferably within an engineering or high-volume manufacturing environment, -Escalation point to remediate major supply chain issues impacting business operations. -Ability to use data to support excellent decision making. -Willingness to engage with stakeholders (engineering, marketing, sales) to understand Dovers products and customer requirements and ensure they are reflected in our supply chain. -Confident and familiar with the requirements for successful negotiation. -Able to be flexible in both approach and outlook.
