Work cross-functionally with Markets, Real-Time Ops, Finance/AR, and Client Success to resolve issues before they impact clients.
Build/maintain SOPs, control matrices, and audit trails; coordinate internal/external audits.
Translate market rule changes into repeatable settlement logic and controls.
Lead the dispute/notice workflow (e.g., IESO Notices of Disagreement), track recoveries, and maintain evidence files.
Manage, coach, and develop two settlement analysts; set KPIs and coverage models for peak periods.
Produce accurate, on-time client invoices and settlement packs (summaries, line-item detail, variance notes).
Own monthly/weekly settlement cycles for IESO (energy, capacity/RA, ancillary services, uplift/variance, transmission, distribution riders).
Partner with Data Management to improve ingestion from MDM/SCADA/telemetry sources and ensure data quality, lineage, and reconciliations.
Dispute program delivering measurable recoveries with reduced cycle time and a tracked win rate.
Create executive dashboards for avoided costs, program performance, transmission/capacity value, and savings attribution.
Work with Data Science/Engineering to automate charge-type logic and exception handling; enhance tools for pricing curves, loss factors, tags, performance factors, and uplift allocations (SQL/Python/BI).
Automated pipelines and exception dashboards cutting manual effort by 30–50%.
Perform shadow settlements from meter/telemetry and bids/offers; reconcile ISO statements and LDC invoices; investigate variances and root causes.

Proven variance analysis/root-cause skills; disciplined about accuracy and on-time closes.
5–8+ years in power market settlements with direct IESO experience.
Clear, concise communication—able to translate charge codes into client-friendly explanations and exec summaries.
A standardized client settlement pack adopted across portfolios.
Two analysts performing at a high level with clear KPIs and cross-coverage.
Mississauga (Hybrid): in-office 2 days/week at Rodan’s Mississauga office; flexibility the rest of the week.
Working knowledge of additional ISOs (PJM/NYISO/MISO/AESO) or strong aptitude/willingness to learn fast.
Documented SOPs & control matrix; clean audit with no material findings.
Experience creating SOPs, internal controls, and audit evidence; confident engaging with ISOs/LDCs on disputes.
Nice to have: DR/BTM storage settlements, telemetry/MDM data structures, capacity/performance factor mechanics.
Advanced Excel; solid SQL and/or Python for data wrangling/reconciliation; BI experience (Power BI/Tableau).
