Tasks

-Work closely with secondary protection and commissioning teams to integrate and verify overall substation performance. -Perform HV testing procedures including insulation resistance, ratio testing, contact resistance, and functional testing. -Support transformer refurbishment and maintenance programs (including full transformer offline refurbishment). -Ensure all testing is carried out safely, in line with client and regulatory procedures. -Prepare detailed test documentation and reports. -Conduct testing and commissioning of primary HV substation equipment (transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, CTs/VTs).

What You Bring

Our client are seeking experienced HV Primary Equipment Testers to support ongoing substation and transmission projects across South Australia and/or NSW. This role will involve testing, commissioning, and maintenance of primary high-voltage plant, including transformers, switchgear, and associated substation equipment. -Strong technical understanding of primary plant and transformer testing. -HV Switching Authorisation and relevant safety qualifications preferred. -Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). -Willingness to travel and work extended hours as required by site conditions (8–12 hour days). -Proven experience in high-voltage primary testing within transmission or distribution substations (275–500kV).
