Senior Drafter

Description

As a Drafter, you will be responsible for drafting customer configurations from submittal to release drawings to the plants.

• Use 2D AutoCAD software to configure designs from existing standard drawings.
• Ensure the best design principles and business practices are utilized to meet customer needs.
• Create new drawings by checking dimensions from physical parts with digital calipers.
• Prepare clear, complete, and accurate customer drawings from job drawing edits and/or engineer sketches.
• Organize work and maintain a high level of productivity output.
• Read customer architectural elevations and mechanical plans.
• Commit to and meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Adaptability to workload requirements, design changes, and deadlines.
• Apply strong working knowledge of drafting fundamentals, including orthographic views, standard dimensioning practices, and scaling.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, machines, and various building materials.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret specifications into detailed drawings for customer submittal and release acceptance.
• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of post-education/certification work experience in a drafting role.
