The Role

Overview

Perform TIG, Stick, MIG & Flux Core welding for maintenance projects in Grimsby.

Tasks

-Provide timely feedback to supervisor or plant operator of ongoing status or completion of the task. -Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable work pack / job card instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches -Sign on to applicable permit to work (PTW) in order to complete work scope on a controlled and safe manner. -Accountability for the safe and effective execution of the welding activities detailed above in adherence with project specifications, process’ and procedures -Provide information and support to line manager & supervisor -Follow the schedule communicated by the supervisor -Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner. -Interface with all project trades and disciplines -Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team. -Adhere to all applicable company policies, working practices and procedures as communicated by the company from time to time.

What You Bring

-NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 Welder/Fabrication (or equivalent) -Ability to work with other team members/disciplines and in a multi-cultural environment -Confident and with an ability to work unsupervised and work on own initiative -CCNSG Safety Passport -Experience in development works and pressure testing preferred. -Flexible – able to comply with company and client requirements -Ability to communicate effectively with team members -Demonstrate visible safety leadership by example and communication/interaction with team members
