  • Prepare and submit accurate tender documentation, proposals, and bid forms.
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for lighting, power, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
  • Occasional travel to project sites and pre-bid meetings may be required.
  • Collaborate with Lead Estimator, Branch Manager, Subcontractors, Engineers, and Development Managers during the tender process.
  • Conduct pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions as required.
  • Evaluate technical requirements and determine pricing and margins for electrical equipment and labor.
  • Manage and oversee the full electrical bid development process.
  • Identify constructability issues, design gaps, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Produce precise estimates of material and labor costs for electrical scopes.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to lead the estimating process from start to finish producing comprehensive, accurate bid estimates for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical construction projects. This role requires deep technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of cost estimation, quantity takeoffs, and construction processes.

  • Proficiency with Accubid Classic Pro, Live Count Desktop, and related estimating software.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • 5–10 years of experience in electrical estimating or construction management (industrial, commercial, or Mission Critical sectors).
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • This position is fully in-person and on-site in the New York office.
