Manage M&E design, installation, H&S and subcontractors across Birmingham sites

Tasks

-Maintain a professional and co-operative relationship with all internal and external stakeholders through agreed GT PR procedures and the PR Co-ordinator -Ensure all sub-contractors carry out their construction work in compliance with the Drawings and Specification. -Develop a “Best Quality” culture with sub-contractors. Set high standards with regard workmanship. Accept only the best quality and reject inferior workmanship ensuring compliance with the GT BMS quality procedures. -To review the safety and quality plan and ensure it meets the highest standards ensuring compliance with the GT business management system (BMS) and health, safety and environmental (SHE) standards. -Ensure all discipline sub-contractors produce a weekly return of labour, plant and materials. -Be responsible for attaining the highest H&S standards on site. Lead the site team by example and develop a positive H&S culture. To be measured monthly on H&S performance. -Manage all discipline sub-contractors to produce a detailed contract programme for their respective works relating to the overall contract programme. -Manage and develop the H&S plan (construction phase) specific to each project in conjunction with the planning supervisor and project manager. Then manage and develop the plan during the construction phase and be measured on performance.

What You Bring

-Basic appreciation and use knowledge of project management – programming, cash flow analysis, resource planning etc. -Previous experience of working with a Main Contractors in a Building Services Role would be an advantage. -Qualification in a recognised Building Services Subject to HNC / Degree Level. -Full working knowledge of aspects and law, including The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and CDM 2015.
