Lead design & integration of metro telecom systems (TETRA, FOTS, CCTV, etc.)

Tasks

-Manage a team of telecom design engineers and subcontractors. -Ensure interoperability between telecom subsystems and metro rail operational systems (signaling, power, rolling stock). -Oversee design reviews, HLD/LLD documentation, and BOQ preparation. -Troubleshoot issues during system integration and handover -Ensure designs comply with the standards, and other railway telecom standards -PLC – Solution design including Panels & BOM -Work with regulatory bodies to obtain approvals and certifications. -Lead the design of metro telecom subsystems, including: -Coordinate with civil, MEP, and signaling teams for seamless integration. -Develop test plans (FAT, SAT, T&C) for telecom systems.

-Experience in designing IT Infrastructure / Virtualizations Platform / Storage design / High availability & Fault tolerance solution -To consider travelling as an integral part of the job and ready to travel frequently for short to medium duration to sites for customer meetings & project execution. -ACS (Access Control System for station security) -Telephone Systems (IP telephony, emergency phones) -Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in Project Design & Engineering; out of which a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in metro rail/transportation telecom design, with expertise in TETRA, FOTS, CCTV, ACS, MCS, CDRS, and SCADA systems. -CCTV Solution detailed design including storage calculations / Bandwidth calculations / coverage study as per DORI (Detection, Observation, Recognition and Identification) -TETRA (Digital Trunked Radio for secure voice/data communication) -CCTV & Video Surveillance (IP-based security monitoring) -CDRS (Centralized Data Recording System for incident logging) -Scada – experience on different type of communication protocols (Modbus TCP/IP, SNMP / BACnet IP / API) & solution design experience -SCADA (Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition for power/railway systems) -Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. -FAT & SAT conducting experience -Active Networking certification for Active / Passive -PMP/PRINCE2 (Project Management-Optional) -Experience with Siemens, Alstom, Thales, or Huawei rail telecom solutions is a plus. -Education: Bachler’s/master’s degree in Electronics & Communications or Electrical Engineering -TETRA Professional Certification -Strong knowledge of railway telecom standards (EN, IEC, IEEE). -MCS (Master Clock System for synchronization) -To adhere to the highest safety standards and exhibit a process-oriented approach. -Tender & Contract reading, understanding and verification of technical aspects of project requirements. -Hands-on experience on TETRA & FOTS design (at Station level/OCC & BCC level) with deployment -CCTV/SCADA Specialist Certifications (Pelco / Milestone / Genetec. etc) -To possess strong analytical/problem solving skills and technical negotiation skills for effective handling of Risk and Opportunity as well as Claim Management leading to overall project success and customer satisfaction. -FOTS (Fiber Optic Transmission System for backbone connectivity) -Ability to work independently and take ownership of project design deliverables.
