Assistant Project Manager - Healthcare

Description

• Write project procedures
• Set up and maintain all aspects of the project information system (CMiC, Autodesk Construction Cloud, etc.)
• Review plans for completeness and accuracy
• Support coordination efforts for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEPFS) systems.
• Estimate, prepare and negotiate Change Orders
• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements
• Prepare Purchase Orders and Rental Agreements
• Supervise and train Project Engineers and clerical staff
• Prepare bid packages and solicit and evaluate bids
• Write subcontract Change Orders
• Support coordination efforts for Owner-direct vendors, and suppliers.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments

Requirements

• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience
• 3 - 4 years construction experience
• Familiarity with construction work in critical environments, i.e. occupied spaces, acute care, clean-room, sterile field, etc.
• Field experience (Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent)
• Familiarity with Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) systems, or negative air-systems in a healthcare or other.
• Able to perform all Project Engineer job responsibilities
• Effective written and verbal communications skills and organizational skills
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications
• 1+ years scheduling and estimating experience
