Assist civil engineering project teams with design, drafting, and construction support.

Tasks

-Assists with the preparation project specifications -Assists in production of final construction drawings -As an intern, you will perform a variety of civil engineering tasks, supporting residential, commercial, and industrial project design teams with technical tasks including, but not limited to: conceptual site layout, utility design; roadway design; site grading design; storm drain design; storm water management design; water and sanitary sewer main design; soil erosion and sedimentation control design; floodplain studies; permitting and entitlement support; and construction support. -Maintains a good relationship with staff -Ensures timesheets are submitted on time -Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects

What You Bring

-Available to work nights and weekends to complete a project as necessary. -Excellent oral and technical written communication skills. -Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office (if applicable). -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may frequently lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team. -Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines. -Knowledge of industry related software. -Must be fluent in the English language. -Must be in process of completing a BS from an ABET accredited university in the fields of Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering. -Ability to make independent decisions within a general framework.
