Tasks

-As requested by the CCM, update and maintain the Control Center Operations Manual, including SOPS -Provide Systems Operator Training/Instruction -Provide updates of trainings to the COR/ACOR upon request -Maintain a record of trainings conducted and report discrepancies to the CCM -Fill-in for control center supervisors in case of emergencies -Assist and provide training to incumbent control center staff in coordination with the CC Manager (CCM) -Coordinate established training from all trainers, CC Supervisors, and the CCM -Provide Communications Operator Training/Instruction -Ensure contract personnel complete Government designated FEMA courses -Provide oversight for new contractor personnel during standalone training periods -Communicate deficiencies in performance of staff with the CCM and identify corrective training -Conduct on-the-job (OJT) training of new control center personnel

What You Bring

-Have the ability to successfully pass the screening for illegal drugs -Have either a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma -Have practical/current knowledge of control center operations and is currently performing as a CCO including a thorough knowledge of all operating systems within the control centers, adherence to all government and contractor policies and procedures, an outstanding attendance record, and an impeccable ability to guide and instruct both new employees, and current operators on the roles and responsivities for each control center post -Fluently speak, comprehend, read, and write the English language -Have a minimum of two years of experience working in a control center type environment within the past five years -A United States citizen; -Knowledge and experience providing quality customer service to Government employees, contractors, and/or visitors. Possess customer service skills -Has an Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Trainer certification and then maintains all re-certification requirements
