Tasks
-Assist with drafting and design tasks for substation projects, including physical and civil layout drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams -Develop proficiency in CAD software while adhering to client standards, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance with project expectations -Learn and apply POWER’s standards, procedures, and processes in project execution -Collaborate with team members to resolve design challenges and seek guidance from experienced professionals

What You Bring
-Strong mathematical skills and experience working with scaled drawings -Demonstrate initiative and attention to detail in assigned tasks -Experience with ProjectWise File Management System -Associate’s degree or technical certification in drafting, or equivalent industry experience -Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with other team members -Experience using Autodesk Raster Design and Bentley Descartes -Knowledge of substation electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and/or substation physical/civil drawings -Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel -Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship -5+ years of experience in substation design/drafting (control and/or physical design) environment -Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and accountable for assigned responsibilities -Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, ideally in a substation engineering environment -3+ years of experience in a substation design/drafting (control and/or physical design) environment.
