Overview

Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial, industrial & infrastructure projects.

Tasks

-Participate in design-build and value-engineering processes. -Provide mentorship and training to junior estimating staff. -Conduct quantity takeoffs using digital estimating tools. -Solicit and analyze vendor and subcontractor proposals. -Collaborate with project managers and engineers to align scope and budgets. -Maintain current knowledge of electrical codes and industry standards. -Evaluate labor, material, and subcontractor costs using standard productivity rates. -Interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and scope documents. -Prepare detailed cost estimates for power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, low-voltage, and control systems.

What You Bring

-10+ years of estimating experience in electrical contracting. -Journeyman Electrician license or Electrical Engineering degree preferred. -Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -Regular use of phones, video calls, and digital collaboration tools. -Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 25 lbs). -Proficiency with Accubid, ConEst, or similar electrical estimating software. -Strong vendor and subcontractor network. -Deep understanding of NEC and industry best practices.
