The Role

Overview

Manage end‑to‑end tendering for EHV substation projects, ensuring technical and commercial compliance.

Tasks

-Conduct risk analysis and contingency planning for complex tenders. -Evaluate vendor quotations for major equipment (transformers, switchgear, GIS, control systems). -Ensure all submissions meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards. -Develop bid strategies and pricing models to maximize competitiveness and profitability. -Prepare detailed cost breakdowns including material, labor, logistics, and overheads. -Liaise with internal departments (Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Legal) to gather inputs for bid preparation. -Interface with clients and consultants for pre-bid queries, clarifications, and negotiations. -Analyze tender documents (RFQs, RFPs, BOQs, specifications) for EHV substation projects. -Prepare comprehensive techno-commercial proposals in line with client expectations and internal capabilities. -Maintain records of tender submissions, revisions, and outcomes for future reference. -Interpret single-line diagrams, layouts, and protection schemes for EHV substations .AIS / GIS. -Coordinate with design teams to finalize equipment sizing, configurations, and technical compliance.

What You Bring

-Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. -Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and tendering software (e.g., SAP, Primavera). -Exposure to Brownfield projects AIS / GIS extension ,international tenders . -Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously. -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. -Experience with turnkey EPC bids including civil, electrical scope. -Familiarity with GIS substations and hybrid solutions -Minimum 10 years of experience in tendering for EHV substations (66kV to 765kV). -Strong understanding of IEC/IS standards, grid codes, and utility specifications.
