Tasks

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new business opportunities, forging partnerships, and expanding the company's commercial interior design and build services across PAN India. This individual will work to enhance the company’s market position, foster strong client relationships, and contribute to revenue growth while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-focused solutions. Develop and implement strategies for generating leads and acquiring new clients across PAN India. Especially in the cities like Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad -Work closely with the interior designers, architects, and project managers to ensure the successful execution of projects from conception to completion. -Analyse clients' needs and propose customized interior design and build solutions. -Generate new business through various channels including cold calling, networking, digital marketing, and attending industry events, exhibitions, and conferences. -Build long-term relationships with key clients to ensure continued business and repeat projects. -Participate in internal meetings to provide business insights and collaborate on strategy for project delivery. -Occasional travel to meet clients across PAN India. -Set sales targets and work towards achieving or exceeding them on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. -Conduct post-project evaluations and follow-ups with clients to ensure continued satisfaction and discover opportunities for future projects. -Provide a high level of customer service by regularly following up with clients, ensuring satisfaction, and addressing any concerns during the project lifecycle. -Upsell or cross-sell additional services such as project management, renovation, or maintenance services. -Attend industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to network and build the company’s brand presence. -Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance brand visibility and develop promotional materials, including brochures, website content, and case studies. -Track market and competitor activities and share insights with the leadership team. -Ensure the client's vision is accurately translated into design proposals and that the company delivers high-quality results within timelines and budget. -Ensure a smooth transition from business development to the execution phase by collaborating with the project team after securing the contract. -Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy tailored to expanding the company’s footprint across different regions and industries in India. -Lead negotiations and closing of business deals, ensuring both client satisfaction and profitability. -Create and nurture relationships with decision-makers, such as project managers, procurement heads, purchase managers, sourcing managers, real estate developers, business owners, and facility managers. -Stay up-to-date on industry best practices, technological advancements, and market trends to improve business strategies and customer offerings. -Develop sales presentations, proposals, and pricing strategies that align with the company’s goals and client expectations. -Monitor the performance of business development activities, analyse sales results, and report progress to senior management. -Work closely with the project management and finance teams to prepare proposals, cost estimations, contracts, and project timelines. -Maintain accurate records of sales and business development activities in CRM tools and provide regular performance updates. -Identify potential business opportunities across various sectors such as commercial offices, retail, hospitality, healthcare, education, and more. -Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends in the commercial interior design and build industry, including demand for specific design styles, materials, and technologies. -Actively promote the company’s services through professional relationships, social media, and industry connections. -Evaluate potential clients and strategic partners by assessing market potential, competition, and client needs. -Manage and maintain key accounts, ensuring that each client’s needs are met efficiently and effectively. -Finalize contracts with clients, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.

What You Bring

-Minimum 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the commercial interior design, architecture, or construction sectors. -Familiarity with CRM software (Zoho, Salesforce, etc.) and project management tools. -Proven track record of successfully acquiring and managing business accounts in a B2B environment, especially in the commercial interior design and construction industry. -Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. -Ability to understand client needs and offer tailored solutions in interior design and construction. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). -Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. An MBA is a plus. -Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills (both written and verbal). -Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction. -Excellent networking abilities and strong relationships within the commercial real estate, design, IT, AI based and construction industries. -Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
