The Role
Overview
Maintains payroll tax GL, resolves tax issues, and supports reporting in ADP/SAP.

Tasks
-Coordinate amended returns with ADP -Manage assigned cases in Service Now -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Collaborate with co-workers, internal and external Kiewit departments to promote continuous improvement and process excellence -Reconcile Payroll Tax General Ledger accounts -Research and clear refund, penalty and interest notices received from taxing jurisdictions -Develops action plans with timelines to implement strategy; involves others in the process and incorporates best ideas into plan and gains buy-in through effective communication -Support and participate in collaboration activities to promote and implement continuous process improvement -Balance and analyze quarter and annual reports between ADP and SAP -Makes timely decisions with well-developed judgment, while considering alternatives, risks and other critical decision factors -Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external Kiewit departments; understand Kiewit’s core business and promote a sense of urgency toward business-critical issues -Develop and maintain a positive and professional relationship with the ADP representative -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Prepare monthly journal entries -Research and resolve payment and filing discrepancies

What You Bring
-Working knowledge of computers and experience in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word -Highly motivated and self-directed; initiative and a sense of urgency to get things done -Ability to research, recommend and implement process improvement/enhancements to create efficiencies within the department -Prior SAP experience -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Demonstrates professional behavior and a positive attitude -Prior ADP tax service experience -Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality -Excellent oral and written communication skills; clearly conveys messages and ideas, gains understanding; generates interest and holds attention, listens and is open to the ideas of others -Open to change and new information; able to rapidly adapt to changing conditions or unexpected obstacles; demonstrates flexibility in thought and action -Reliable and consistent attendance -Regular, reliable attendance -Minimum three years of general Accounting or Payroll Tax or Payroll experience -Demonstrated pattern of success in meeting quality objectives -Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent
