Tasks

-Maintains cameras and film supply -Assists the General Superintendent with the development and monitoring of the job-specific safety plan -Schedules and implements established training programs -Completes incident reports and distributes and maintains incident documentation and files -Coordinates with Project overhead team and owners, as needed -Assists in the development of project safety incentive programs with Project Manager and Superintendents -Treats all employees, clients, subcontractors and vendors with dignity and respect -Develops and manages project safety incentive programs with Project Manager and Superintendents -Represents the company with a positive attitude internally and externally -Maintains a SAFE job site, monitors safety and takes appropriate action to correct any safety issues or deficiencies -Receives and monitors subcontractor safety reports and responds when discrepancies occur in monthly man- hour report -Participates fully as a team member, completing all requirements assigned in a timely manner -Conducts new hire orientations -Creates and distributes the minutes of the safety committee meetings -Develops job-specific safety orientation and holds once a week for subcontractor personnel -Sets up drug testing appointments for new craft employees -Maintains MSDS and Haz-Com program for subcontractors -Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations to include health, safety, and welfare as appropriate -Reviews accident procedures with Superintendent -Assesses Safety needs for training purposes -Monitors all accidents and maintains appropriate file records -Schedules and chairs OSHA 10-hour safety courses -Monitors sub-contractor safety training -Ensures training requirements are adhered to and maintains all training documentation -Acts in a professional manner at all times to maintain a positive work environment in accordance with Tutor Perini Corporation’s Harassment policy (CP 1.004) and Workplace Violence procedures -Monitors and maintains OSHA Log 300 -Assists supervisor(s) with job site start-up -Gathers toolbox reports from foreman and subcontractors -Maintains and conducts Safety audits -Attends all pre-installation conferences -Ensures Project(s) monthly safety statistics are reviewed for accuracy and forwarded to the Safety Director

What You Bring

-Certification: CHST preferred. -Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals -Special skills: Intermediate knowledge of Windows Operating Systems – particularly: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. -Experience: A minimum of three years of construction experience in the field, or in a related area, is preferred. -Creative and resourceful in completing tasks accurately in a compressed time frame -Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, or related field, is desired. A combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree. -Works cohesively with team members and all co-workers, displaying a positive attitude through behaviors and supportive problem solving and communication skills both orally and in writing -Demonstrates a working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings, and specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline -Basic knowledge of Prolog software. Knowledge of CAD 2000 or CAD 3-D is desired.
