Tasks

-Drive large initiatives around performance, failover, disaster recovery, and cost optimization -Mentor others and lead by example in high-performance environments -Lead the design of observability, automation, and incident response frameworks -Bring a product mindset to reliability, thinking beyond uptime to customer experience and business impact -Influence platform direction and infrastructure strategy across cloud and hybrid deployments -Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and data teams to evolve our core platforms

What You Bring

-5+ years of experience managing large distributed systems using mass scale architecture -Experience in AWS is a must; experience in Azure or Google cloud as a plus -Background with Bash scripting and programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, NodeJS -Infrastructure as code using Cloudformation, Terraform, or similar platforms -Familiarity with infrastructure foundation components of large networks in AWS and on-prem (e.g., systems & network administration, DNS, hypervisors, containers, databases, multi-datacenters) -Experience with configuring Content Delivery Networks (CDN) for performance, caching, and global traffic management -Thrive on scale, reduce complexity, and systems-level thinking -Familiarity with PCI compliance and remediation -Production experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container deployment strategies -Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college. -Experience with any relational or document databases -A track record of commitment to prior employers -Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining APM and observability solutions for large-scale data infrastructure -Own reliability for massive-scale systems and services used globally -Experience in REST API or Microservices development -Solid sizing and estimation techniques for small to medium size tasks and projects -Have experience managing infrastructure that supports high-volume, low-latency applications
