Environmental Assistant Staff Project Manager I (Industrial Hygiene)

Assist senior staff with field environmental assessments and sampling for industrial hygiene projects

Tasks

-Promptly communicate changing site conditions to supervisor and discuss their implications on field investigations. Implement investigation changes in the field as directed by your supervisor -Scheduling, training and oversight of environmental technicians. -Perform asbestos, lead-based paint, mold and indoor air quality assessments. Perform air and bulk media sampling. Monitor remediation and abatement of contaminated or hazardous building materials. -Interact and collaborate with staff members on a variety of projects -Keep supervisor informed of changing site conditions and/or additional testing requested on project sites. -Attend project meetings with senior staff as requested -Work with senior staff to develop an understanding of the relation of field observations and sample results to findings and conclusions in the report -Clearly document site observations for field work performed and submit daily reports -Interface with contractors and other site personnel on project sites daily

What You Bring

-Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other Engineering degree applicable to Environmental Consulting, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or other degree relevant to the practice of Environmental Consulting -Good understanding of sample collection, preparation, preservation and laboratory submission regulations and guidelines. -If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver’s license is required -Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds a number of times each day and walk on uneven ground through various terrains. -Basic knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations and guidelines and their implications on findings and conclusions in studies. -Basic knowledge of environmental principles and applications. -Basic knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methods
