Overview

Install, align, and maintain flanged and process piping systems on construction sites.

Tasks

-Installation of small diameter tubing for instrumentation and controls -Installation of gaskets -Welding of process piping systems -Cutting and fabrication of spool pieces -Bolt up and alignment of flanged piping systems -Glue and assemble plastic piping -Cut/fuse and assemble PVDF piping -Installation of prefabricated or pre-manufactured pipe supports including anchors for same

What You Bring

-This role requires a Massachusetts' Unrestricted Pipefitters License** -Prepared to regularly encounter moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and a variety of outside weather conditions -Layout of various piping systems -Minimum of 1-3+ years of experience within the construction industry -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus -Beveling, cutting, fitting associated with piping prior to welding -Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and safely maneuver around the nearby presence of various construction equipment and vehicles, on an active construction site -Able to climb temporary or permanent stairs, and ladders -Bevel and grove ductile iron and steel pipe -Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment -Ability to lift 50 pounds -High School or Vocational and or relevant work experience -MA pipefitter license(s) -Able to bend, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, balance, and stoop, reach on a regular basis -Sweating/soldering piping (non-potable water)
