Tasks

-Collaborate closely with internal teams—engineering, operations, supply chain, and product development—to ensure on-time delivery, quality performance, and customer satisfaction. -Lead and manage the full sales cycle for MV and LV motors, including technical discussions, proposal preparation, and contract negotiations. -Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key accounts such as OEMs (Pump, Compressor and etc.), EPCs, distributors, and major industrial customers. -Contribute to sales forecasting and strategic business planning efforts to achieve annual revenue and margin goals. -Provide technical consultation and product selection support to ensure optimal motor applications for customer requirements. -Represent HICO America at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote the company’s brand and technical capabilities. -Utilize existing customer and partner networks to drive near-term sales while developing long-term growth opportunities. -Support preparation of RFQs, RFIs, and proposals from a technical and commercial standpoint to deliver competitive, value-driven solutions. -Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs, and report actionable insights to internal stakeholders. -Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry standards, motor technologies, and energy efficiency trends to support product positioning.

What You Bring

This Technical Sales Manager reports to the Motor/Gear Product Line Manager and is responsible for leading the commercial expansion of HICO’s Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) Motor Business in North America. This role requires both strategic and hands-on engagement—developing new business opportunities while maintaining strong technical and commercial relationships with customers, distributors, OEMs, EPCs, and end users. The successful candidate will combine a strong technical foundation in electrical or mechanical engineering with proven industrial sales experience, particularly within the pump, compressor, and rotating machinery sectors. An entrepreneurial mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and technical acumen are key to succeeding in this fast-paced, customer-focused environment. -Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer and distributor relationships, especially with major OEMs (compressor, pump, and rotating machinery manufacturers). -Familiarity with industrial market segments such as power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical and water treatment -Self-motivated and results-oriented, capable of working independently while collaborating effectively within a global organizational framework. -Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. -Excellent technical and problem-solving skills -Prior experience with global MV/LV motor manufacturers -The ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers -Minimum 3 years of sales or engineering experience involving Medium Voltage and/or Low Voltage motors, or related industrial rotating equipment. -Knowledge of project-based sales cycles and EPC procurement processes. -Based on Houston, Texas, USA (other U.S. locations may be considered). -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline (preferred). -Strong understanding of motor design, application, and performance specifications, including industry standards (IEEE, NEMA, IEC). -Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
