Tasks
-Act as Lead Internal Quality Assurer and manage all Quality Assurance aspects of Competence Assurance – audits, reporting, review, verification, training etc. -Provide coaching and support to team members and stakeholders on competency processes and best practices. -Development of Competence and Training requirements aligned to relevant industry standards Project Management of all improvement projects -Work with other parts of the business to grow the CMS as an external offering Conduct internal Competence audits -Take accountability for tasks and completion of projects -Development of proposal documents in line with external customer requirements, costs and Framework requirements -Accountable for the line management, coaching and mentoring of Competence Advisors and Coordinators -Co-ordinate and facilitate the Competence Assurance Steering Group Meetings -Develop, review, and maintain competence related processes, procedures and supporting documentation -Ensure adequate resources for the full scope covered by the Competence & Training team, carry out resource planning -'Live' our Petrofac Values and apply them in day-to-day work -Focal point for external Competence Audits (OPITO, HSSE, FPAL, ISO, Customers) -Collaborate with TMS team in delivery of training and competency requirements for all stakeholders -Monitor performance metrics and deliver regular reports to senior leadership. -Lead a team of competency advisors and coordinators to deliver high-quality competency management services. Develop, implement, and maintain competency frameworks aligned with industry and company standards. -Head of Centre for SQA, apply additional qualification delivery in line with business requirements -Maintain awarding organisation approvals i.e., SQA centre status, OPITO -Liaise with Technical Authority/Business SME network to support Competence Assurance, ensuring technical currency -Ensure quality, integrity, and governance of the Competence Management Service (CMS). -Assist in facilitation of regular competence forums -Oversee the use of competency management systems to track, assess, and report workforce competency. -Comply with all relevant Petrofac Facilities Management (PFM) Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures where appropriate -Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to Petrofac's life saving rules. -Ensure development of all personnel within the team to meet strategic and business requirements -Actively participate in, and support, all PFM HSE plans, initiatives and improvements -Consult and advise internal and external customers on appropriate framework and approach

What You Bring
-Experience in coaching, mentoring, and performance management. -Ability to work autonomously on own initiative. -Ability to act and respond within a dynamic and operational team -Experience in a supervisory role -SVQ level 3 or 4 in a relevant discipline, or equivalent qualification -Ability to set your team up for success, manage performance and contribute towards succession planning -Business compliance and awareness of Competence Management Services. Act as subject matter expert for the organisation -Experience of working in a matrix environment. -Capable of working across functions and with all levels within the organisation. -A confident decision maker, having the ability to evaluate a situation and review all possible outcomes before implementing a solution. -Strong interpersonal and communication skills -Qualified Lead Auditor -Proven recent experience in the management and delivery of Qualification programmes including successful completion of Approval Application with Awarding body (SQA, C&G or similar) -Knowledge and experience of audit activities, scheduling, and process -A proactive attitude and aptitude for taking on tasks with attention to detail. -In depth knowledge of competency assurance practices and accreditation, including competency models and assessment tools -Awareness of HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards and compliance requirements -Qualified Workplace Assessor and Internal Verifier essential (Preferable updated to current standard – L&d9di & L&D11) -Ability to work as part of a diverse, multi-cultural team and have consideration of other cultures. -Management or Leadership qualifications -Proven recent practice and expertise within head of centre or centre coordination roles with SQA, City & Guilds or similar -Experience in development of competency framework, processes and procedures -Prior experience in upstream/downstream operations, engineering, or technical services. -Ability to organise and prioritise workload. -Knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry (or other highly regulated/safety focused industry). -Ability to lead and motivate a team -Continuous improvement mind set and application. -Good working knowledge and expertise in the management of training in high-risk industries -Proven recent experience within Lead Verifier role with evidential successful outcomes on centre approval audits
