Tasks

-Portfolio & Performance Management: Define and deliver OKRs, manage the use case pipeline from ideation to execution, and ensure measurable outcomes. -Financial Stewardship: Own and manage the lab’s budget, optimizing resource allocation for maximum research and business value. -Team & Culture Development: Lead a high-performing AI research team, shaping composition, fostering collaboration, and driving team development. -Stakeholder Engagement & Representation: Act as the lab’s single point of contact, driving alignment across stakeholders and championing thought leadership through collaboration and events. -Lab Operations & Growth: Oversee lab setup and scale-up, professionalizing processes to support excellence and sustainable growth. -Strategic Leadership & Partnerships: Align lab initiatives with DG and GT’s business and research goals. Build and maintain strategic internal and external partnerships to accelerate innovation and impact.

What You Bring

-5 or more years of relevant experience within an innovation or research lab. Demonstrated success in managing partnerships within an AI research lab environment. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa. -Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. -Strong background in AI/Machine Learning R&D, with experience managing budgets, delivering on OKRs, and driving impactful outcomes. -Exceptional communication and influence skills, with a track record of engaging senior leaders and aligning cross-functional teams. -Prior experience leading a research or innovation lab and team of scientists. Ability to build, scale, and professionalize high-performing teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments. -Skilled in overseeing complex pipelines and translating strategy into measurable results.
