Tasks

-May be required to be “on call” for emergency maintenance after hours as directed by management -Provide excellent customer service at all times -Follow all safety and liability guidelines as directed -Participate in all resident promotions and/or functions as required by the property manager -Troubleshoot, perform and/or assist in maintenance and repairs related to plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical, roofs, and carpentry -Perform standard apartment maintenance which could include painting, cleaning carpets and appliance repair -Control expenses to meet budgeted guidelines -Regularly communicate with supervisor as to status of service requests, make ready units, etc. -Perform maintenance and repair work as directed to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings and grounds according to established procedures

What You Bring

-Trade school or associate’s degree in related field a plus -Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public. -Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision -High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. -Must possess adequate working knowledge of a property’s significant maintenance needs such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry etc. -Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record may be required -Must be able bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs & ladder, to reach, lift, pull, push and lift or carry weight up to 75 pounds -Must have basic understanding of the English language and be able to communicate effectively. -Ability to exercise schedule flexibility to accomplish set goals.
